Ratings and thermal performance
Rated 250 A at 40 °C through 50 °C ambient; at 55 °C it derates to 241 A, at 60 °C to 232 A, at 65 °C to 222 A, and at 70 °C to 213 A. That means in a warm panel — say, 55 °C internal — you lose 9 A of headroom. Plan the load at the actual cabinet temperature, not the nameplate. The breaker dissipates 50.5 W maximum, so factor that into the enclosure thermal budget. Breaking capacity drops with voltage: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 4.5 kA at 690 V.
