MCCB for high-fault panel feeds
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2225-5JP32-0BL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a maximum interrupting capacity of 187 kA at 240 V. That interrupting rating drops to 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then to 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 4.5 kA at 690 V — so the voltage class of your distribution system directly governs the fault current it can clear. The breaker holds its full 250 A rating up to 50 °C ambient; above that it derates linearly to 200 A at 70 °C, which matters for panels with poor airflow or high internal heat rise.
Selectivity and coordination notes
Designed for line protection with a communication function, an undervoltage release (UVR), and an auxiliary switch configuration of 2 auxiliary switches + 1 trip alarm switch + 1 electrical alarm switch HQ.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions: 105 mm wide, 181 mm high, 86 mm deep (–). The 105 mm width is standard for a 3-pole MCCB in the SENTRON 3VA platform — fits existing 3VA panel cutouts and busbar systems without modification.
