Key ratings and what they mean for your panel
The Siemens 3VA2225-6HN32-0CA0 is a SENTRON 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection. Its 250 A continuous current holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 213 A at 70 °C — useful to know if your panel runs hot or is packed tight. The 242 kA breaking capacity at 240 V handles high-fault scenarios typical of large transformer secondaries or busway feeds. The ETU350 electronic trip unit provides adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves, giving you coordination flexibility downstream. An undervoltage release (UVR) is integrated as standard — the UVR coil is part of the basic switch assembly. No auxiliary contacts or communication module are fitted on this variant.
Panel fit and integration
Footprint is 105 mm wide by 181 mm tall by 86 mm deep. That width is a standard 3-pole MCCB form factor — it occupies three 35 mm DIN spaces. The depth of 86 mm means it clears most 200 mm deep enclosures, but check your gland-plate clearance if the panel is shallow. Maximum power loss is 50.5 W, so factor that into your thermal budget if grouping multiple breakers.
