Breaking capacity and protection setup
The Siemens 3VA2225-6HN42-0AD0 is a 4-pole IEC frame 250 molded case circuit breaker with class H interrupting capacity — Icu rated 85 kA at 415 VAC. That rating places it in the high-break tier of the 3VA2 family, sized for main feeders or large branch circuits where fault current exceeds 50 kA. The ETU350 electronic trip unit provides LSI protection: long-time (Ir) adjustable 100 A to 250 A, short-time (Isd) 1.5 to 10 times Ir, and instantaneous (Ii) fixed at 10 times In. Neutral conductor protection is selectable OFF, 50%, or 100% of phase pickup — a feature for 4-wire systems where the neutral needs its own overload element.
Panel integration and wiring notes
Mounts in a standard panel or enclosure on the 3VA2 busbar system or via rear terminals. The nut keeper kit (included in the order code suffix) captures the mounting nuts during installation — saves time when working in tight enclosures. Three HQ auxiliary switches are factory-fitted; they switch at the breaker's operating position for status feedback to a PLC or indication lamp.
