At 250 A continuous, this MCCB covers large motor feeders, main incoming supplies, or bus couplers in 400 V class systems. The thermal derating curve shows it holds full 250 A up to 50 °C ambient, then drops to 238 A at 55 °C and 200 A at 70 °C — useful when the breaker sits in a warm enclosure near other heat sources. Breaking capacity at 690 V drops to 4.5 kA, so for 690 V applications this breaker is only suitable downstream of a current-limiting device or on low-fault branches.
Integration notes
Mounts in a standard Siemens SENTRON panel or enclosure on a DIN rail or fixed mounting plate; the 3-pole form factor matches existing busbar and cable lug layouts for 250 A class breakers. The shunt trip (STL) allows remote tripping from a safety PLC or emergency-stop circuit — verify coil voltage compatibility with your control voltage before wiring. Communication function supports remote status and trip alarm monitoring over a fieldbus or Ethernet.
