What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2225-6JQ32-0BL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current (Iu) across a 40–50 °C ambient range, with a slight derating curve above that — 238 A at 55 °C, 225 A at 60 °C, 213 A at 65 °C, and 200 A at 70 °C — so you size the breaker for the panel's actual thermal environment, not just the nameplate. Breaking capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 6 kA at 690 V — numbers that cover most industrial fault-current scenarios downstream of a large transformer or generator. The ETU560 electronic trip unit (design of the overcurrent release) enables adjustable long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection curves, plus a communication function for remote monitoring and coordination — useful when you need selective coordination data without a separate power meter.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 181 mm high, 105 mm wide, and 86 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA2 footprint that drops into existing MCCB mounting bases without panel rework. Comes with an undervoltage release (UVR) as standard, plus auxiliary contacts: 2 auxiliary switches, 1 trip alarm switch, and 1 electrical alarm switch — enough for remote status feedback without adding a separate contactor block. The supplied basic switch is order code 3VA2225-6JQ32-0AA0, and the integrated auxiliary trip is 3VA9608-0BB11 — both are pre-configured at the factory, so no field wiring of the release is needed.
