What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2225-6JQ32-0DA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker designed for line protection, rated 250 A continuous at 40 °C with an adjustable trip range from 50 A up to 250 A full-scale. Interrupting capacity hits 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 4.5 kA at 690 V — so the 240 V figure is the headline for high-fault panels, but the drop at 690 V means you need coordination study if you're running that voltage. An undervoltage release is fitted as the auxiliary release, and the breaker includes a communication function for integration into a monitored distribution system. Maximum power loss is 50.5 W — factor that into enclosure ventilation if you're stacking several in a panel.
Thermal derating and physical fit
Continuous rating holds at 250 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates to 238 A at 55 °C, 225 A at 60 °C, 213 A at 65 °C, and 200 A at 70 °C — so in a warm enclosure you lose about 20% by the top of the operating range. Dimensions are 86 mm deep, 105 mm wide, 181 mm tall — standard SENTRON 3VA form factor for panel-mount on a mounting plate or DIN rail adapter. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
