What this 250 A MCCB carries — and where it sits
The Siemens 3VA2225-6KP32-0HC0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derating to 200 A at 70 °C. Three poles, line-protection version with an ETU850 electronic trip unit. The interrupting ratings climb to 242 kA at 240 V and 187 kA at 415 V — that's the SCCR headroom for high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries. At 690 V it still clears 6 kA, so it handles the low-side of a 690 V drive line. It ships with a shunt trip (STL) and two HQ auxiliary switches built in — that's one less accessory to order separately. The ETU850 release gives you communication and other measurement functions, so it can report trip data and load current over the bus. No undervoltage release, no ground-fault module on this variant.
Panel fit — 105 mm wide, 86 mm deep
The 3VA2225-6KP32-0HC0 footprint is 105 mm wide by 86 mm deep by 181 mm tall. That's a standard 3-pole MCCB slot in most SENTRON distribution panels. The 48 W maximum power loss at full load means you need to account for heat rise inside a sealed enclosure — plan ventilation or derate if the ambient inside the panel pushes past 50 °C.
