Its breaking capacity scales with system voltage: 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 4.5 kA at 690 V — so it clears high fault currents on the low-voltage side while still handling a 690 V line where the available fault current is modest. The 250 A rating holds at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C; above that it derates to 241 A at 55 °C, 232 A at 60 °C, 222 A at 65 °C, and 213 A at 70 °C. If your panel runs warm, that derating curve tells you whether this frame size still fits.
The alarm switches give the PLC a hard-wired status of trip vs. normal, which simplifies fault annunciation in a BMS.
