The 3VA2 platform is Siemens' current-generation SENTRON MCCB family, replacing the earlier 3VL series.
At 55 °C it derates to 238 A, at 60 °C to 225 A, at 65 °C to 213 A, and at 70 °C to 200 A.
The interrupting ratings are: 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 4.5 kA at 690 V. For a 480 V system (common in North America), the 242 kA rating at 440 V is the closest published figure; the actual 480 V value would fall between the 440 V and 500 V numbers. For a 690 V system, the 4.5 kA rating means this breaker is not the primary fault-interrupting device at that voltage — upstream fuses or a higher-rated MCCB would be needed.
For BOM freeze or PCN watch: the 3VA2 series is the current standard; no successor has been announced.
Dimensions are 181 mm height, 105 mm width, and 86 mm depth.
