This is a line-protection breaker — not a motor-protection device — sized for feeder or main breaker duty in distribution panels. Its interrupting ratings tell the real story: 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V, and 4.5 kA at 690 V. The ETU560 provides LSIG (long-time, short-time, instantaneous, ground-fault) protection; ground-fault sensing uses summation current on L+N conductors.
The UVR coil must be energized for the breaker to close — a standard safety interlock for emergency-stop circuits. IP40 protection on the front means the breaker is touch-safe against tools and wires but not sealed against dust ingress — suitable for indoor panel mounting only. Current derating is needed above 55 °C: 240.625 A at 55 °C, 231.25 A at 60 °C, 221.875 A at 65 °C, and 212.5 A at 70 °C.
