What this MCCB brings to a hot, dusty panel
It carries an ETU850 electronic trip unit, which gives you adjustable long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection curves — useful when coordinating downstream feeders in a cement plant or any environment where the ambient heat climbs past 50 °C. At 690 V it still breaks 6.3 kA, which covers most motor circuits in a 690 V distribution. That matters when the breaker lives near a kiln or in a non-conditioned switchroom.
At 55 °C it drops to 238 A, at 60 °C to 225 A, at 65 °C to 213 A, and at 70 °C to 200 A. If your panel ambient runs 60 °C, you need to size the breaker for 225 A or less. The ETU850 release provides communication function (likely via a communication module) and an undervoltage release is fitted as standard. Latching endurance is 20 000 operations — that is the mechanical life for the switching mechanism, not the electrical endurance under load.
Panel integration and dimensions
The 3-pole design fits standard busbar systems and panel cutouts for SENTRON 3VA frames. The basic switch (the switching mechanism) is order code 3VA2225-7KP32-0AA0, and the integrated auxiliary trip is 3VA9608-0BB25 — these are the internal sub-assemblies, not field-replaceable by the end user.
