It carries a maximum interrupting capacity of 440 kA at 240 V, derating to 52.5 kA at 690 V. The thermal trip range is 375 A minimum to 2500 A maximum. This is a current-production part (lifecycle stage: current).
Interrupting Capacity and Thermal Derating
Interrupting capacity varies with system voltage: 440 kA at 240 V, 330 kA at both 415 V and 440 V, 220 kA at 500 V, and 52.5 kA at 690 V. These are symmetrical RMS values — the breaker clears faults at those levels without upstream coordination issues. Thermal derating is published per ambient temperature: full 250 A rating holds through 50 °C, then drops to 241 A at 55 °C, 232 A at 60 °C, 222 A at 65 °C, and 213 A at 70 °C.
Auxiliary Switching and Configuration
This variant ships with 4 auxiliary switches (HQ type) integrated. The basic switch module is order code 3VA2225-8HL32-0AA0. No trip indicator or voltage trigger is present on this build.
