MCCB for line protection — 250 A, 440 kA at 415 V
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2325-0HN32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 250 A continuous current, designed for line protection in distribution panels. Its ETU350 electronic trip unit provides adjustable overload and short-circuit protection, with a breaking capacity of 440 kA at 415 V AC — enough for high-fault installations like transformer secondaries or large motor control centers. The 690 V AC rated operating voltage and 800 V rated insulation voltage give headroom for 480 V and 600 V class systems.
The 250 A rating holds across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling, which simplifies panel thermal budgeting. The 440 kA at 415 V is the short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu) per IEC 60947-2; at 690 V it still interrupts 187 kA, covering most industrial service entrances. The ETU350 release supports LSI (long-time, short-time, instantaneous) curves, so you can coordinate downstream breakers without nuisance trips.
