What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA2325-5HL32-0HH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) built for line protection in distribution panels. It carries 250 A continuous current across the full ambient range from -25 °C to 70 °C without derating, so you can stuff it into a warm enclosure and still count on the full 250 A. Breaking capacity is 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — numbers that matter for selectivity studies and SCCR compliance on a 480 V or 600 V line.
Panel fit and integration
Three-pole design, 138 mm wide, 248 mm tall, 110 mm deep — fits standard MCCB panel cutouts. The basic switch variant is order code 3VA2325-5HL32-0AA0; this unit adds a shunt trip (STL) release and two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm switch (HQ configuration). No communication function on board, so coordination with a BMS or PLC is via the auxiliary contacts only. Power loss maxes at 37.5 W — factor that into enclosure thermal rise calculations.
Storage temperature range is -40 °C to 80 °C; operating range -25 °C to 70 °C. The trip indicator and voltage trigger are present; undervoltage release and ground-fault monitoring are not included on this variant.
