What this 250 A MCCB does on the line
The SENTRON 3VA2325-5HN32-0AG0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current — no derating needed from 40 °C up to 70 °C, which is unusual for this class and saves you a panel re-spin if ambient runs hot. Breaking capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, drops to 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. That voltage-sensitive curve means you size it for the worst-case fault current at your system voltage, not the headline number. It's a line-protection design (not motor-protection), so it's set up for feeder and distribution duty — busway, panelboard mains, or large branch circuits. The 1 auxiliary switch + 1 trip alarm switch HP configuration gives you remote status and a dedicated alarm contact for fault indication, handy for a PLC input on a conveyor or pump panel.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 248 mm high, 138 mm wide, 110 mm deep — standard for a 250 A frame in the SENTRON 3VA range. Mounts on a DIN rail or direct panel; the 110 mm depth leaves room behind a 200 mm enclosure door for wiring gutters. Power loss is 37.5 W maximum, so factor that into enclosure ventilation if you're packing several breakers in a confined space.
