The ETU850 electronic trip unit handles the overcurrent protection logic, and the breaker includes a communication function for integration into a monitored system.
This breaker's interrupting capacity is rated per voltage level: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. At 690 V the capacity drops to 7.5 kA, so if your fault current at that voltage exceeds that, this isn't the right frame. The minimum breaking capacity is 375 A, meaning it's not designed for very low-fault branches.
Dimensions: 248 mm high, 184 mm wide, 110 mm deep. The 184 mm width is for the 4-pole frame.
Trip unit and protection features
The ETU850 is an electronic trip unit with adjustable long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection curves. It has a communication function for remote monitoring and parameterization. No undervoltage release or voltage trigger is built in.
