MCCB for motor protection — 250 A frame, 3-pole, with undervoltage release
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2325-5MN32-0CC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 250 A continuously across the full 40 °C to 70 °C ambient range — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Designed specifically for motor protection, it includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and phase failure detection as built-in functions, so it drops the load on loss of phase or sag below the release threshold. The basic switch variant is 3VA2325-5MN32-0AA0; this order code adds the UVR and two HQ auxiliary switches. Breaking capacity runs 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415/440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V (–) — high enough for most industrial service-entrance or motor-control-center applications without cascading upstream.
Panel fit and wiring — dimensions, auxiliaries, thermal budget
Footprint: 138 mm wide, 248 mm high, 110 mm deep (–) — standard 3-pole MCCB envelope for a 250 A frame. The two HQ auxiliary switches and the undervoltage release are factory-integrated; no field-add kit required for those functions. Maximum power loss is 40 W — plan ventilation or spacing accordingly in a sealed enclosure. Operating temperature range -25 °C to +70 °C; storage from -40 °C to +80 °C. No communication function or ground-fault monitoring on this variant.
