What this MCCB delivers — and where the ratings matter
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2325-5MN32-0DE0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated at 250 A continuously from 40 °C up to 70 °C — no derating needed across that entire ambient span, which simplifies panel layout in warm cabinets or near other heat sources. Its breaking capacity reaches 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415/440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — so at common low-voltage distribution levels (240–480 V) it handles very high fault currents without cascading upstream, which is the main reason you'd spec this frame over a smaller 3VA2 variant. The 800 V rated insulation voltage confirms suitability for 690 V line-to-line systems.
Auxiliary and release configuration — what is built in
This breaker ships with four auxiliary switches (HQ design) and an undervoltage release (UVR) integrated — no separate ordering or field-fit kit needed for those functions, which saves panel wiring time and avoids a common omission in BOMs. Phase failure detection is also present, so the breaker trips on loss of one phase — a standard requirement for motor feeder protection in many industrial codes. There is no communication module or ground-fault monitoring built in; if you need those, you would select a different 3VA2 variant or add external modules.
Dimensions and panel fit
The breaker measures 248 mm high, 138 mm wide, and 110 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for the 250 A frame class, so it drops into most existing panel layouts without re-drilling the mounting plate.
