What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2325-6HN32-0DL0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated 250 A continuous across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Breaking capacity sits at 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415/440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. That SCCR headroom covers most industrial service-entrance and distribution panels where fault current runs high at the lower voltages. It's designed for line protection, so the trip curve and coordination are set for feeder and main breaker duty rather than motor branch-circuit protection. The unit ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) built in and a full auxiliary switch complement: two auxiliary switches plus one trip alarm and one electrical alarm switch (HQ type). That means you get remote status indication and undervoltage tripping without adding separate accessory modules — one less thing to wire in the panel.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 248 mm high, 138 mm wide, 110 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA2 frame footprint. It mounts on a DIN rail or directly to a backplate via the screw terminals. The 3-pole block occupies roughly 5.4 inches of rail width; leave clearance above for the arc-chute exhaust and below for the line/load lugs. Power loss is rated at 40 W maximum at full load. That matters for enclosure thermal rise calculations — in a sealed panel, account for that dissipation to keep internal ambient below the 70 °C operating maximum.
