MCCB for high-fault panels
The Siemens 3VA2325-7HN42-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current (Iu) with a 4-pole configuration, designed for line protection in distribution panels. The ETU350 electronic trip unit provides adjustable overload and short-circuit protection, with neutral protection configurable to OFF, 50%, or 100% of the phase current. Its rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 800 V, and the front face carries an IP40 protection rating — suitable for enclosed panel mounting where the front is operator-accessible but not washdown.
Breaking capacity and selectivity
This breaker delivers 330 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V AC, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. Those figures are the ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu) for the respective voltages — high enough to serve as the main breaker in a panel with a large transformer feeding multiple downstream feeders.
