What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2325-7KQ32-0AA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current across the full ambient range from 40 °C to 70 °C — no derating needed up to that ceiling. Its ETU860 electronic trip unit gives you adjustable long-time (tr 0.5–25 s) and short-time (tsd up to 0.5 s) response values, plus ground-fault monitoring via summation current formation on the L-conductor. Breaking capacity hits 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — meaning it can interrupt fault currents at the main distribution level, not just downstream subfeeds. The 250 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 70 °C — no thermal derating curve to calculate, which simplifies panel schedules in warm enclosures. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so it's comfortable on 690 V systems with margin. Power loss maxes at 37.5 W; factor that into enclosure ventilation if you're packing multiple breakers in a small cabinet.
Panel fit and integration
Mounts on a standard DIN rail or directly to a backplate. Dimensions: 248 mm high, 138 mm wide, 110 mm deep. The 138 mm width is three pole-spaces wide at roughly 46 mm per pole — standard for this class. Front protection is IP40, so it's fine for enclosed panels but not for washdown zones. Communication function is built in — this variant ships with the ETU860 release that supports connectivity for remote monitoring and trip-data retrieval. Ground-fault monitoring is included as summation current sensing on the L-conductor, which catches leakage without a separate GFCI module.
