What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2325-7MN32-0AJ0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 250 A continuous current, with a breaking capacity of 330 kA at 240 V AC — enough to handle high-fault utility feeds or transformer secondaries without cascading upstream. The ETU350M electronic trip unit provides adjustable overload and short-circuit protection, plus phase failure detection, so it suits motor protection duty in a distribution panel.
Breaking capacity across voltages
At 415 V and 440 V the breaker still delivers 242 kA; at 500 V it holds 187 kA; at 690 V it drops to 52.5 kA. That voltage-dependent curve means you can use this same frame for 480 V or 600 V class panels as long as the available fault current stays under the respective rating.
Temperature derating — what the 250 A rating really means
The breaker carries its full 250 A from 40 °C up to 50 °C. At 55 °C it derates to 240 A, at 60 °C to 235 A, at 65 °C to 230 A, and at 70 °C to 225 A. If your panel ambient runs hot — say, next to a drive cabinet or in a non-conditioned enclosure — size the load side for the derated figure, not the nameplate.
Auxiliary contacts and trip indication
Factory-fitted with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HP type). The trip indicator is mechanical — visible through the front window — so a quick walk-by confirms the breaker state without opening the door.
