Breaking capacity across voltages
The 3VA2325-7MN32-0JC0: This MCCB delivers 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 52.5 kA at 690 V. That 330 kA at 240 V tells you it's sized for high-fault infrastructure — main feeders in industrial switchgear or transformer secondaries where the available fault current is well above typical 65 kA or 100 kA distribution breakers.
Thermal derating curve
Rated continuous current holds at 250 A from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient. At 55 °C it derates to 240 A, then 235 A at 60 °C, 230 A at 65 °C, and 225 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs above 50 °C — common near furnace zones or unventilated enclosures — size the load at the derated figure, not the 250 A nameplate.
Mounting and dimensions
The breaker measures 248 mm high, 138 mm wide, and 110 mm deep. It mounts on a DIN rail or directly to a backplate via the screw terminals. The 138 mm width is standard for a 3-pole frame in this class — check your panel fill factor against the existing cutout or busbar spacing.
