SENTRON 3VA2 MCCB — 400 A, 440 kA, ETU860
The ETU860 gives you adjustable L (long-time), S (short-time), I (instantaneous), and G (ground-fault) protection curves, plus a communication function for remote monitoring and settings adjustment.
Derating and thermal management
Above that, it derates linearly: 375 A at 55 °C, 350 A at 60 °C, 325 A at 65 °C, and 300 A at 70 °C. Maximum power loss is 96 W, which matters for enclosure heat rise calculations when you stack multiple breakers side by side.
Front IP40 protection covers the operator interface. The ETU860 supports communication, so you can pull trip data and settings over the network rather than walking the panel. Ground-fault monitoring uses summation current formation on the L conductors.
Adjustable trip range and N protection
The breaker's adjustable trip range spans 600 A to 4800 A — that's the instantaneous magnetic pickup, not the continuous rating. The N-conductor protection is configurable from OFF up to 160% in steps, which lets you match the neutral to the phase protection on 4-wire systems without an extra device.
