The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2340-5HL32-0AH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 400 A continuous current at 40 °C, with an ETU320 electronic trip unit for adjustable overload and short-circuit protection. The 138 mm width and 248 mm height fit standard SENTRON panel cutouts, and the 110 mm depth leaves room behind the door for wiring gutters.
Rated 400 A up to 50 °C ambient; above that it derates to 385 A at 55 °C, 370 A at 60 °C, 355 A at 65 °C, and 340 A at 70 °C. The maximum power loss of 96 W at rated current means the enclosure needs ventilation or a larger cubicle to keep ambient under the trip unit's calibration.
The interrupting ratings step down with system voltage: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V.
