The 3VA2340-5HL32-0CL0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 400 A continuous current through 50 °C — no derating needed in a standard 40 °C panel, and it holds full rating up to 50 °C. Above that, it steps down: 385 A at 55 °C, 370 A at 60 °C, 355 A at 65 °C, 340 A at 70 °C. Interrupting capacity climbs with system voltage: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. The ETU320 electronic trip unit handles line protection — adjustable thermal and magnetic curves, no communication module, no voltage trigger, no phase-failure detection. That's enough status feedback for a PLC input card without adding a separate contact block.
Panel integration
The 3-pole design with the ETU320 and UVR occupies the same cutout as the base switch (3VA2340-5HL32-0AA0) plus the auxiliary trip module (3VA9608-0BB24); verify the enclosure depth clears the 110 mm plus wiring bend radius.
