The Siemens 3VA2340-5HN32-0KK0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 400 molded case circuit breaker in the 3VA2 series, rated for line protection with an ETU350 LSI electronic trip unit. The continuous current rating In is 400 A, with overload protection (Ir) adjustable from 160 A to 400 A and short-circuit protection (Isd) from 1.5 to 10 times Ir. Instantaneous pickup (Ii) is fixed at 10 times In. The unit ships with a shunt trip accessory wired on the left side, rated 208–277 V AC 50/60 Hz and 220–250 V DC, plus one auxiliary contact.

The ETU350 LSI trip unit allows field-adjustable long-time, short-time, and instantaneous pickup settings, giving the commissioning engineer selectivity coordination flexibility downstream of a larger feeder breaker. The shunt trip accessory on the left side accepts either AC (208–277 V) or DC (220–250 V) control voltage, so it can be wired into an emergency-stop circuit or remote-trip system without an intermediate relay. The auxiliary contact provides a status signal for the PLC or SCADA input.
