What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2340-5JP32-0AB0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated 400 A continuous at 40 °C, with an ETU550 electronic trip unit for line protection. Its interrupting capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, and 75.6 kA at 500 V — enough for high-fault industrial panels where selectivity with upstream gear matters. The ETU550 trip unit gives you adjustable thermal-magnetic or electronic curves, plus a communication function for remote monitoring — handy when you're coordinating with a BMS or PLC. The auxiliary contact version packs 2 auxiliary switches HP, so you can signal breaker status without extra relays. Thermal derating is linear: still 400 A at 50 °C, drops to 375 A at 55 °C, 350 A at 60 °C, 325 A at 65 °C, and 300 A at 70 °C. That's typical for a high-current MCCB — plan your panel ambient if you're pushing the full rating.
Mounting and integration
Dimensions: 248 mm tall, 138 mm wide, 110 mm deep. That's a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for a 400 A frame — fits most panel-mounted busbar systems and bolted connections. No DIN rail; it's bolt-on or plug-in base, typical for SENTRON 3VA frames. Rated insulation voltage Ui is 800 V. Operating temperature range -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C.
