What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2340-5KP32-0CH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection in distribution panels. It carries a rated continuous current Iu of 400 A at 40 °C, with a breaking capacity of 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 17 kA at 690 V — covering the full low-voltage range for industrial mains and feeder protection. The ETU850 electronic trip unit provides adjustable overload and short-circuit protection curves, plus communication capability for integration into a monitoring system. An undervoltage release is built in, and the auxiliary contact configuration includes 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ type).
Panel integration notes
Mounts on a DIN rail or direct panel mount via the screw terminals. The 110 mm depth fits standard enclosures with clearance for rear cable routing. Maximum power loss is 98.5 W. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. The undervoltage release (UVR) is factory-fitted as a supplied basic switch (3VA2340-5KP32-0AA0) with an integrated auxiliary trip (3VA9608-0BB24).
