Thermal derating and real-world loading
At 40 °C, 45 °C, and 50 °C the breaker holds its full 400 A rating; at 55 °C it derates to 375 A, at 60 °C to 350 A, at 65 °C to 325 A, and at 70 °C to 300 A. Maximum power loss is 96 W, which matters for enclosure heat rise calculations when multiple breakers are ganged.
Auxiliary configuration and communication
It includes a communication function and a voltage trigger, so it can talk to a BMS or PLC for load shedding or fault annunciation.
