3VA2340-6JP32-0DA0 — 400 A SENTRON MCCB with undervoltage release
Breaking capacity varies with system voltage: 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V. That 242 kA at 240 V covers high-fault utility feeds; the 7.5 kA at 690 V is the limiting case for industrial 690 VAC networks. The adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit covers a range from 600 A minimum to 4 000 A maximum, giving selectivity headroom for downstream feeders. Rated continuous current holds at 400 A up to 50 °C ambient; above that it derates linearly to 300 A at 70 °C.
Integration and mounting
Panel footprint: 248 mm high, 138 mm wide, 110 mm deep. The 3-pole form factor mounts on a standard backplate or DIN-rail adapter. An integrated undervoltage release (UVR) is fitted as the auxiliary release — verify coil voltage matches your control circuit before energizing. Communication function is built in, supporting integration with higher-level monitoring or remote trip indication. Maximum power loss is 98.5 W at rated load — account for this in enclosure thermal calculations. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
