What this MCCB delivers on the line
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2340-6JQ32-0DC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for line protection at 400 A continuous (full-scale value 400 A, initial value 80 A). Its interrupting capacity reaches 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and at 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — so at the common 415 V distribution level it clears a 187 kA fault without upstream cascading. The breaker includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and a communication function, plus two auxiliary switches (HQ design).
Thermal derating and panel fit
The breaker carries its full 400 A rating from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient. Above that it derates: 375 A at 55 °C, 350 A at 60 °C, 325 A at 65 °C, and 300 A at 70 °C. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C. Maximum power loss is 98.5 W. Mounting dimensions: 248 mm height, 138 mm width, 110 mm depth — fits standard panel cutouts for this frame class.
