What this MCCB carries
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2340-7HL32-0CA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 400 A continuous current at 40 °C ambient, with a thermal derating curve that holds 400 A through 50 °C, then drops to 385 A at 55 °C and 340 A at 70 °C. Breaking capacity runs 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415/440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 7.5 kA at 690 V — covering most LV fault-current scenarios downstream of a transformer. An undervoltage release (UVR) is built in; no auxiliary switch or ground-fault module is fitted on this variant.
Panel fit and footprint
At 110 mm deep × 138 mm wide × 248 mm tall, this breaker fits standard SENTRON 3VA mounting bases and busbar systems. The 138 mm width is a 3-pole frame — verify gland-plate cutout if retrofitting into a panel originally laid out for a different MCCB family. Depth is shallow enough for 200 mm-deep enclosures; no rear-access clearance needed beyond the standard 50 mm arc-chute vent gap.
