What this MCCB is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2450-7MN32-0AD0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed specifically for motor protection. It carries a continuous current rating of 500 A at 40 °C, with minimal derating up to 50 °C where it still holds 500 A. At 55 °C it's rated 495 A, at 60 °C it's 490 A, and at 65 °C it's 485 A, dropping to 480 A at 70 °C. The interrupting capacity reaches 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 15.3 kA at 690 V.
Motor protection and auxiliary switch configuration
This MCCB includes phase failure detection and is designed for motor protection duty. It ships with the basic switch 3VA2450-7MN32-0AA0 and three HQ auxiliary switches. No undervoltage release, voltage trigger, or communication function is included. The unit does not have a trip indicator. It is rated for a short-time delay of 4 s minimum and 13 s maximum.
Physical fit and environmental limits
Dimensions are 248 mm height, 138 mm width, and 110 mm depth. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 99 W. The MCCB mounts in standard panel or enclosure cutouts for SENTRON 3VA2 frame sizes.
