630 A continuous, 440 kA interrupting — the mainline feeder breaker
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2463-0HL32-0BE0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 630 A continuous at 40 °C ambient, with a thermal derating curve that drops to 520 A at 70 °C. At 690 V the 187 kA rating still covers most industrial distribution systems. These numbers govern the upstream fuse or breaker coordination study. The ETU320 is a basic electronic trip unit with LI (long-time and instantaneous) protection only — no ground-fault, no short-time delay, no communication. If your coordination study requires short-time delay or ground-fault, this is not the variant. The LI curve is field-adjustable via DIP switches on the trip unit face.
Dimensions are 248 mm height, 138 mm width, 110 mm depth. The breaker ships with 4 auxiliary switches (HQ type) and an undervoltage release. No washdown or outdoor rating. The trip indicator is not present on this variant; trip status is read from the auxiliary contacts or the handle position.
