630 A SENTRON MCCB for Line Protection
The adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit spans 945 A minimum to 5 670 A maximum, giving you a wide coordination window for selective tripping downstream. Interrupting capacity is voltage-dependent: 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 52.5 kA at 500 V, and 9 kA at 690 V. Thermal derating is published across the operating range: 630 A at 40 °C, dropping to 520 A at 70 °C. If your enclosure runs hot — say a non-ventilated panel near a furnace line — you need to size for the 70 °C figure, not the 40 °C nameplate.
Ground-Fault and Trip Details
This MCCB includes ground-fault monitoring via summation current formation on the L + N conductor — it measures the vector sum of phase and neutral currents to detect leakage to earth. The trip indicator is not fitted (no mechanical flag showing the breaker tripped on fault vs. manual off), and there is no undervoltage release or voltage trigger. Power loss at full rated current is 162 W maximum. In a dense panel with multiple breakers, that heat adds up — plan ventilation or spacing accordingly. Dimensions are 110 mm deep, 184 mm wide, 248 mm high (4.33 × 7.24 × 9.76 in), a standard 4-pole MCCB footprint that fits most Siemens switchboard mounting patterns.
