Siemens 3VA2463-5HL32-0CL0 — 630 A SENTRON MCCB with ETU320 Release
The Siemens 3VA2463-5HL32-0CL0 is a SENTRON 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 630 A continuous current at 40 °C, in a 3-pole configuration with an ETU320 electronic trip unit. This is the line-protection version — no voltage trigger, no communication module, no phase-failure detection built in. The interrupting ratings climb to 187 kA at 240 V and hold at 121 kA through 415–440 V, then taper to 75.6 kA at 500 V and 17 kA at 690 V.
If your panel runs hotter — and most enclosed switchboards do — derate per the table: 612 A at 45 °C, 593 A at 50 °C, 575 A at 55 °C, 557 A at 60 °C, 538 A at 65 °C, and 520 A at 70 °C. That derating curve is what you use for the NEC 110.14(B) temperature correction in a UL 489 listing context. The ETU320 is a basic electronic trip with LS (long-time and short-time) protection; it's not the full LSIG you'd get on the ETU600, but for feeder protection without ground-fault it's the standard choice.
Integration Notes
The undervoltage release (UVR) is installed; verify coil voltage matches your control circuit before energizing. Maximum power dissipation is 164.5 W at rated current — account for that heat in your enclosure sizing, especially if the breaker is enclosed in a low-volume pull box rather than a ventilated switchboard.
