630 A SENTRON MCCB — line protection with high interrupting capacity
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA2463-5HN32-0AH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 630 A continuous current, designed for line protection in distribution panels. It breaks up to 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 9 kA at 690 V — so it handles high-fault utility feeds and transformer secondaries without cascading upstream. Thermal derating is published from 40 °C to 70 °C: 630 A at 40 °C, dropping to 520 A at 70 °C. That curve lets you size the breaker for elevated panel ambient without guessing. It ships with a basic switch variant 3VA2463-5HN32-0AA0 and comes configured with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ). No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module — this is a straight line-protection breaker for standard distribution duty.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions are 110 mm deep, 138 mm wide, 248 mm tall — a standard SENTRON 3VA fixed-breaker footprint. Mounts on a DIN rail or direct panel; the 3-pole width matches the common MCCB cutout for retrofit into existing Siemens switchboards. Power loss is 162 W maximum at rated load — account for that in enclosure thermal calculations if the panel is tightly packed.
