What the ratings mean for your panel
The 3VA2463-5HN32-0LB0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 630 molded-case circuit breaker from the Siemens 3VA2 series, fitted with an ETU350 LSI electronic trip unit. The 55 kA breaking capacity at 415 V (class M) means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without upstream fuses or a larger frame — critical for high-fault panels fed by a 2000 kVA transformer or similar. The LSI trip gives you independent adjustment of long-time (Ir, 250–630 A), short-time (Isd, 1.5–9× Ir), and instantaneous (Ii, fixed at 9× In) protection, so you can coordinate selectivity downstream without sacrificing arc-flash coordination upstream.
Integration notes
The 3VA2 frame mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount base. The included universal release (24 V DC accessory) and up to 2 auxiliary switches allow remote tripping and status feedback — useful for a PLC-driven shutdown circuit or a motor control center (MCC) bucket. The nut keeper kit simplifies busbar connection in a multi-breaker lineup. The ETU350 is self-powered from the line side; no external control power is needed for the trip unit itself, though the shunt release does require the 24 V DC supply.
