What this 630 A MCCB delivers
The 3VA2463-5JP32-0JC0: The interrupting ratings are what decide where this breaker fits in a fault study: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 75.6 kA at 500 V, and 9 kA at 690 V. That 187 kA at 240 V tells you it handles high available fault current on the low-voltage side of a step-down transformer without needing a current-limiting fuse upstream. Thermal derating matters if the panel runs hot. At 40 °C ambient you get the full 630 A; at 50 °C it's 570 A; at 60 °C it's 510 A; at 70 °C it's 450 A. Factor that into the load schedule if the breaker sits near other heat sources in a closed enclosure.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 248 mm tall, 138 mm wide, 110 mm deep — a standard MCCB footprint for this amp class. The 110 mm depth means it clears most 200 mm deep enclosures with room for wiring gutters. Comes with communication function onboard, two auxiliary switches (HQ type), and a shunt trip (STL) for remote tripping. No undervoltage release or ground-fault monitoring on this variant — those are separate add-on options if your spec requires them. Maximum power dissipation is 162 W at rated load. That's the heat you need to vent in the enclosure calculation — not trivial in a sealed panel.
