Thermal derating — the real continuous current in a warm cabinet
The frame is rated 630 A at 40 °C ambient, but inside a panel that runs warmer the numbers step down: 612 A at 45 °C, 593 A at 50 °C, 575 A at 55 °C, 557 A at 60 °C, 538 A at 65 °C, and 520 A at 70 °C. If your enclosure sits at 50 °C with solar load or adjacent drives, size the downstream conductors for 593 A, not the nameplate 630 A. Maximum power loss is 162 W — that heat has to leave the enclosure, so factor it into your ventilation calc.
Built-in accessories — shunt trip and auxiliary switches
The trip indicator is absent, so you won't get a local mechanical flag; rely on the aux switches for remote indication. Communication function is not built in — this is a standalone breaker, not a power-monitoring node.
No IP rating is listed in the spec, so treat it as open-panel indoor use unless you add an enclosure. The basic switch variant is 3VA2463-6HL32-0AA0 if you need the base breaker without auxiliaries.
