What you're looking at
It's built for high-fault environments — 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and still 40 kA at 690 V. That's not a number you see on a standard distribution breaker; this is sized for main feeders or large motor branch circuits where fault current runs high.
If your panel runs hotter — and most do — you need to derate: 600 A at 45 °C, 570 A at 50 °C, down to 450 A at 70 °C. The interrupting ratings at each voltage level tell you where this breaker can sit in a selective coordination study: at 480 V systems (common in North America) it's still well above typical available fault currents, but at 690 V you're at 40 kA — still useful for many industrial grids.
Panel integration
That's a standard MCCB footprint for this class — fits most Siemens SENTRON mounting bases and panel cutouts. The auxiliary contact version is 3 auxiliary switches HQ, so if your control circuit needs status feedback, that's already built in. If you need those functions, you're looking at a different variant.
