What this 630A frame breaker carries
The Siemens 3VA2463-6KQ32-0KL0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 630 circuit breaker with a breaking capacity class H — 85 kA at 415 V. That rating means it safely interrupts fault currents up to that level without upstream devices needing to clear the fault, which is the deciding factor for selectivity studies in a distribution panel. The ETU860 trip unit gives you LSIG protection: long-time (overload), short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault, all programmable. Overload protection (Ir) is adjustable from 250 A to 630 A, short-time pickup (Isd) from 0.6 to 9× In, and instantaneous pickup (Ii) from 1.5 to 9× In. Ground-fault protection can be switched off; when active, Ig adjusts from 0.2 to 1× In with a time delay tg from 0.05 to 0.8 s. Neutral protection is optional via an external current transformer, up to 160% of In.
Built-in accessories and control voltage
This breaker ships with a shunt trip on the left side rated for 208–277 V AC, 50/60 Hz — that's the standard coil voltage for remote tripping from a safety circuit or emergency stop string. It also carries two auxiliary switches (HQ), one trip alarm switch (HQ), and one electrical alarm switch. All auxiliary contacts are wired and ready; no separate order for a signal block. The breaker mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount baseplate in a switchboard enclosure. For an integrator: verify the shunt trip coil matches your control transformer tap before commissioning — 208 V and 277 V are different taps on a 480 V delta-to-wye transformer.
