630 A MCCB for high-current distribution
Breaking capacity runs 330 kA at 240 V, 242 kA at 415/440 V, 187 kA at 500 V, and 52.5 kA at 690 V.
Current derating and thermal limits
Rated continuous current derates with ambient temperature: 630 A at 40 °C, 612 A at 45 °C, 593 A at 50 °C, 575 A at 55 °C, 557 A at 60 °C, 538 A at 65 °C, 520 A at 70 °C. The panel OEM wireman should apply these derating factors when sizing busbars and selecting enclosure ventilation — the 162 W heat dissipation at full load is non-trivial. Latching endurance is rated at 15,000 cycles — adequate for main breaker duty where switching is infrequent, but not for frequent motor-starting applications.
The breaker ships with 3 auxiliary switches HQ (order code 3VA9608-0BB24) and the ETU320 electronic trip unit. The supplied basic switch is 3VA2463-7HL32-0AA0. No undervoltage release, no voltage trigger, no communication function, no phase failure detection, and no ground fault monitoring are included — this is a pure line-protection device.
