Interrupting capacity and thermal derating
At 240 V this breaker clears 330 kA — enough for high-fault utility feeds. The interrupting rating drops to 242 kA at 415 V and 440 V, then 187 kA at 500 V, and 9 kA at 690 V. The continuous current derates from 630 A at 40 °C down to 450 A at 70 °C; if your panel ambient runs above 40 °C, size the load against the derated figure, not the 630 A nameplate.
The 3-pole frame measures 138 mm wide, 248 mm high, and 110 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA footprint that drops into existing switchboard cutouts without rewiring. IP40 on the front protects against tool entry; the unit operates from -25 °C to 70 °C and stores from -40 °C to 80 °C. Maximum power loss is 162 W, so factor that into enclosure ventilation.
