630 A MCCB with ETU320 — line protection for high-fault panels
Breaking capacity drops as system voltage rises: 440 kA at 240 V, 330 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 220 kA at 500 V, and 52.5 kA at 690 V. Thermal derating is published per degree from 40 °C upward: 630 A at 40 °C, 612 A at 45 °C, 593 A at 50 °C, 575 A at 55 °C, 557 A at 60 °C, 538 A at 65 °C, 520 A at 70 °C. If the panel ambient runs 55 °C, you lose 55 A of headroom.
Dimensions are 248 mm high, 138 mm wide, 110 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint for 630 A frame. Maximum power loss is 162 W at rated load — factor that into enclosure ventilation if the panel is sealed.
This is a current-production SENTRON 3VA series breaker. No official successor has been issued — this is the active variant for 630 A line protection with ETU320.
