The ETU320 electronic trip unit gives you adjustable long-time pickup (Ir) from 400 A to 1 000 A and short-time/instantaneous (Ii) from 1 500 A to 10 000 A, with a time delay tr adjustable from 0.5 s to 17 s. That means you can shape the trip curve to coordinate with downstream devices — selectivity on a multi-level panel is the main reason to pick an electronic trip over a thermal-magnetic. Thermal derating is flat to 55 °C — still 1 000 A — then drops to 955 A at 60 °C, 885 A at 65 °C, and 815 A at 70 °C.
The 3VA2510-5HL32-0JH0 measures 210 mm wide by 320 mm tall by 120 mm deep (8.3 in × 12.6 in × 4.7 in). It's a 3-pole frame, so it occupies a single breaker-width slot in a SENTRON LV panelboard or a standalone enclosure. If you need remote monitoring, you add an external communication module or a separate power meter upstream.
Maximum power loss is 123 W at rated current. That's not negligible — if you're packing multiple 1 000 A frames in a single enclosure, the cumulative heat drives the internal ambient above the derating curve. Plan the ventilation or forced-air cooling accordingly.
