It delivers 187 kA breaking capacity at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, and 53 kA at 690 V — figures that cover high-fault industrial services such as transformer secondaries, main switchboards, or large motor control centers where SCCR headroom is non-negotiable. The 320 mm height, 210 mm width, and 120 mm depth fit standard 3-pole MCCB panel cutouts; front IP40 protection suits enclosed distribution boards.
Thermal derating and continuous current
Above that the unit derates linearly: 955 A at 60 °C, 885 A at 65 °C, and 815 A at 70 °C. For a panel builder or site engineer, this means the breaker can be loaded to its nameplate in a ventilated 55 °C enclosure; above that, the trip unit's thermal memory adjusts the protection curve accordingly. The adjustable long-time delay tr spans 0.5 s to 25 s, and short-time delay tsd ranges 0.05 s to 0.5 s — giving selectivity coordination flexibility downstream.
Communication and monitoring
The breaker includes a communication function and an other measurement function, which on the ETU860 platform typically enables power metering, alarm forwarding, and remote trip indication over a bus system (PROFIBUS or PROFINET via a communication module). The N-conductor protection is not fitted; this unit is for 3-wire line protection.
