Above that, the rating steps down: 955 A at 60 °C, 885 A at 65 °C, and 815 A at 70 °C — so if your enclosure runs hot, you need to account for that thermal curve, not the nameplate 1000 A. Breaking capacity is the headline: 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V, and 74 kA at 690 V. For a 415 V distribution board with a prospective short-circuit current of, say, 150 kA, this breaker gives you headroom — it's rated 37 kA above that level. The ETU350 electronic trip unit provides adjustable long-time (Ir) from 0.5× to 1.0× Iu, so you can set the continuous pickup anywhere from 500 A to 1000 A. Short-time (Isd) is adjustable from 1.5× to 10× Ir, with time delays from 0.04 s to 0.4 s. Instantaneous (Ii) is fixed at 10× Iu, i.e. 10 000 A. That gives you selectivity coordination with downstream breakers — critical for a plant where you want only the faulted branch to trip, not the main.
